I love the story behind this shoot. I was commissioned by a band to do some album art for them. The concept for this particular album was suicide. Also on the agenda for the day was a very important military officer dropping in for a very serious interview. 

I dress up my roommate in a vinyl corset, fishnets, miniskirt and spiked dog collar and convince her to whip up some fake blood, because she “has better cooking skills than I have.” And we precede to shoot. 

We splash around in the fake blood. Cass is covered in it. Our kitchen floor is covered in it. I get all the shots we need and then some. And it is past time for us to still be shooting. I catch sight of the clock, and sweep the towel off of the counter. Cass and I mop up the blood, hide the evidence and there’s a knock at the door just as blood soaked, bondage attired Cass takes a flying leap into her room & slams the door.

I open the door and warmly invite in our VIP, taking one last scan at our kitchen. Only a light pink stain in the middle of the floor and the officer was none the wiser.
